-
- I wouldn't say it is "very likely". The probability of it happening to
- a randomly picked individual is around 1-2%, I'd guess. Have you
- registered 50 sharewware applications yet? Of course, for some people
- it may well be highly probable, if a dishonest person happens to be
- working at the local post office.
-
- Whatever the likelihood, my question was what you consider to be SAFE,
- not what you consider to be UNSAFE. If there are no other options,
- safe or not is not an issue. In fact it doesn't seem to be an issue
- even if there are safe options.
-
- An example: I list several possible payment methods in the Voodoo
- documentation, ranging from SWIFT bank transfer to mailing cash. The
- bank transfer is by far the safest method, and not any more
- inconvenient than getting a bank draft check and mailing that. In
- fact, if I was paying the fee, it would be far _more_
- convenient. However, I have no first hand experience from other
- countries. Now, anyone want to hazard a guess how many people have
- used bank transfer? None at all.
-
- >Convenient for a US resident is to have a registration site in the US. No

-
- And what is it that makes it convenient?
-
- Convenient, in my opinion, would be to have electronic cash and
- payment over the Internet. I'd use First Virtual, but I have not found
- out whether any Finnish banks deal with it. The eCash/CyberCash would
- be an option in Finland and the moment, but the upper limit for the
- "money" in the user's wallet, and thus the upper limit of payments,
- has been set quite low.
